Tooty Fruity
Tonight Jace had his very first fruit, banana! Ashtyn joined him too and had her first fruit! At first he was not too sure about it, but he definitely devoured the bowl full! Gotta love my chubby bunny!!!
It's graduation time...
Well I am so happy, and a little sad that today Jace and Ashtyn graduated from their level 1 class and are now moving up to level 2! I can't believe how far we have come, Jace started going there at 10 weeks old, and his very first class he was the youngest one in there!!! It was a bittersweet moment. Im so proud of them for advancing to the next level and hitting so many milestones, but I also have grown to enjoy all the other moms and babies that are in his class. Im also a little nervous because the next class is ages 6-12 months, and Jace will just be 5 months in 5 days... my little over achiever! ;] It was so cute at the end of class they presented them with a certificate and their own graduation Jimbo doll and sang.. "its graduation time, it's time to say goodbye, its graduation time" Not going to lie I was a little emotional! haha! Look out level 2 here we come!!!

Just keep swimming...
Since it was a nice warm day out, we decide to take Jace in the back yard and let him play in the little pool his grammy got him! He got a new speedo diaper and a sailboat so I thought they would be fun to try out. We only lasted about 15 mins in the pool, but we got some cute pictures.... it must have tired Jace out pretty quickly because he's already fast asleep!
Discoveries
Well in the last 3 days Jace has discovered two new things, one he can suck his toes... and by toes I mean he can fit his whole stinkin foot in his mouth! And two he can stick out his tongue and spit. While some moms might not be too thrilled with the second one, I find it so cute. Sure it may not be the same when he's 2 and doing it, but for now whats sweeter than a 4 month old sticking his tongue out and spitting on you!? He even has perfect timing when doing it, 2 short stories... yesterday at Disneyland we were in line for the Haunted mansion and a boy and girl couple were admiring Jace and how cute he was, the guy said to Jace hi there... and Jace answered back by spitting :] The guy and girl of course thought this was the most adorable thing ever. Then we were waiting for Lynne and Kass to come out of the bathroom so I thought I would take a quick picture to send to those at home.... I asked Jace to smile for me and in return I got a nice spit! It was perfect though, because I caught him on camera tongue out and all! He is even starting to imitate you, if you do it first he does it back! Ahhh, my sweet spitter! Im a proud mom, cant you tell!
In action :]

Adventures with Grammy
On our anniversary my mom offered, more like begged ;] to watch Jace. I agreed that Sean and I needed some alone time and a few hours with Grandma wouldnt hurt. My mom was going to a birthday party that day so she took Jace along. Here are some pictures of Jace at the party... I'd say he had a good time, especially with that chocolate pudding! Thanks Mom for watching Jace, he said you're the best babysitter ever!!!

1 year!!
On Saturday, the 25th Sean and I celebrated our one year anniversary! I can not believe how fast one year has flown by, I guess the saying is true.. time flies when you are having fun! We had a really nice day. Lunch at my favorite place, Rubios :] then we went to our reception site (where there was a wedding going on, so we had to sneak in hehe), Olive Garden for dinner and then to see Hangover 2 (which was not very good). We came home and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and our one year anniversary cake. I loved being able to spend time with Sean and catch up on "US" although I did miss Jace a whole lot, I even brought his honey bunny in my purse, Sean thinks Im nuts! ;] I cant wait to spend many more years together.

Sleep Tight
So last night Jace slept for the first time in his crib, and boy did he love it! He slept from 8:30- 5:30, ate, and went back to sleep (with me) till 7:45! I on the other hand was a mess. I could not sleep, I kept getting up and checking him to make sure he was ok. He looked so comfy and peaceful and yet so lonely. I missed snuggling him and having him curl up into me. I didn't realize how much I needed him next to me. I finally fell asleep around 1:30am only 2 hours after Sean fell asleep. Hopefully tonight is easier for me ;] hehe. Jace has already been asleep in his crib for 45 mins (I put him down 15 minutes earlier tonight) My ultimate goal is to get him on a bed time of 7:30. We will see how it goes. Jace also found his voice yesterday and has definitely used it today. He loves to scream and squeal as loud as possible. I of course think this is the cutest, but Im sure others don't find it so cute when we are at dinner or walking down the Target aisles. Oh well.. :]

Beach Trip
Today Sean and I took Jace to his first trip to the beach. After searching online for the best beach for a little one we picked Corona del Mar. I was so excited to take Jace, I had visions of us playing in the water, strolling along the tide, napping in the warm sun.... however our beach adventure wasn't quite that wonderful. I should have known by the night we had that it was going to be a rough morning (just so you're filled in Jace would NOT sleep last night, I eventually ended up holding him in my arms from 2-4:45, he slept in his swing from 5-6 and then back in our bed till 8) With all that being said I still jumped out of bed when the alarm went off. We surprisingly made it out of the house by 9:30 only 15 mins after I wanted to. We found really good parking, but had to walk down quite a hill, which of course meant having to walk up that hill. We found a good spot on the beach, not so close to others. The weather was still kinda chilly and overcast. Jace was in a pretty good mood for the first 15 minutes. We walked him down to the water, he put his toes in the water and sand and didnt mind it at all. We went back up to the towels and Jace's mood completely changed. He would not stop crying. We tried walking him, but that only seemed to make it worse. He must have cried for 75% of the time. On top of the crying I got pooped on by a dumb seagull on my leg. It was then that I figured our beach trip was going to be short lived. Luckily Sean was able to get Jace to fall asleep and we packed up and headed home. The beach was crowded, there was flies everywhere and the sun did not come out until about 25 minutes before we left. So its safe to say our trip definitely was not the trip I had visioned, but I figure we will try the beach again maybe when he is a little older. I am just thankful that we had the opportunity to take Jace to the beach together for the first time. And we did get some good pictures, somehow :]

Summer Time.
Oh how I love summer time. Tonight Sean and I met my parents at the Claremont Colleges to take Jace and Ashtyn for a walk. The weather was perfect out and the scenery around the colleges is so beautiful. It was a perfect ending to a great day. Here are some pictures we took...
also just had to share, earlier in the afternoon Jace sat in a shopping cart for the first time! My baby is growing up so fast!
