Splish Splash

When Sean and I woke up the sun was already shining and the weather was perfect out, so we decided to take Jace down to my aunts pool for the first time. Jace loves his baths so I was hoping he would like the pool as well. I was happy that the water was perfect temperature so we were able to jump right in, well not literally :] Jace did really well in the water. He never cried or fussed. We only went as deep as his chest and were only in the water for a couple of minutes but it was a great start! I hope its the making of a water baby!

Picture Perfect.

Yesterday, Jace and Ashtyn had quite the photo shoot with photographer Kersti Kooiman. Even though Jace was not feeling well at all he was such a trooper. The photos came out absolutely beautiful! We are so thankful to Kersti for taking them for us!

Sick Day.

Well the last 2 days my poor boy has not been feeling very well. He was so congested yesterday, and threw up about 6 times in 1 hour I had to take him to the urgent care. I loved the doctor Jace saw there, he was very informative! Jace has a severe cold, and they were concerned about dehydration due to the excessive spit ups and poopy diapers. So for now its plenty of rest, baths, booby juice and some tylenol. Hopefully my little man feels better soon.

you have to admit, he is the cutest sicky out there!

Good night.

As I was getting off of the computer for the night I came across a really good quote....

As a mother, my job is to take care of what is possible and trust God with the impossible.

I loved it! Just wanted to share.Good night.

Planes of Fame

Today Sean had a day off, and he has not had a day off in a REALLLLY long time, so I decided that we should go out as a family together. I thought of 3 places for us to possibly go and let Sean decide on the place. His choices were the LA zoo, Arcadia Arboretum and Chino Planes of Fame museum. Sean picked the Planes of Fame museum... such a man. I was a little less than thrilled on his decision, but tried not to show my lack of enthusiasm as this was a rare occasion for us to all get to hang out together. We had a coupon for buy one get one free admission, but to our surprise they give military discounts... and a really good one at that, free admission for you and a guest. It was the first time we ever used Sean's military discount and it was pretty cool not going to lie. Hehe! The museum ended up pretty legit. We actually were there almost 2 hours, who would of thought you could walk around looking at planes for that long! I enjoyed watching Sean show Jace all the planes, there is something so special about a father and son. After the museum we went to Flo's cafe where we had breakfast for lunch, so yummy! I had such a great day hanging out with my boys. Hopefully we get a few more outings like these before Sean leaves.

Excited to be at the museum :]

Just blah.

Today has been just one of those days. Jace slept in till 10:00, which was wonderful. But because he slept so late he decided to forgo his morning nap, which then made him a cranky boy. By noon we had already had 3 poopy diapers and had 3 outfit changes for him and 4 shirt changes for me due to excessive spit ups. The only thing he wanted to do was nurse. He finally just went down for a nap, hopefully he gets some good sleep. I feel so bad for my little guy not feeling good, I hate that there is nothing I can do to comfort him. Praying he feels better soon.

I have to share this picture, with all of his not feeling well, he still manages to flash that adorable little smile which totally melts your heart.

Let's go Braves!

For Sean's 24th birthday, Jace got him tickets to the Braves vs. Angels game... and finally the game was here! My parents, sister, brother in law, niece and cousin all came out for the game too! I think I got a little ahead of myself with taking Jace to a baseball game at 3 1/2 months, but I couldn't resist when it was his dads favorite team! It was really cold out and Jace ended up knocking out 3 innings into the game, but it was fun to hang out with the family. And best of all the Braves won, 12 innings later!

Gymboree, lunch dates & weddings oh my!

The past 2 days have been super busy, but so much fun! We started off on Thursday with Gymboree. Ashtyn and Jace had another friend join them, Carter. This was Carters first time at Gymboree. The babies were all so cute together. Later Thursday night we had to drive down to San Marcos for Sean's nephews wedding rehearsal. Jace was such a trooper... it took us almost 2 hours to get there and he never made a peep. And the whole time at the rehearsal and dinner he was such a happy baby. Although that night I think he was a little too stimulated because he woke up at 4am laughing and talking and ready to start his day!

Friday morning we woke up bright and early (thanks Jace man) and headed out to an early lunch with my BFF since 2nd grade, Elyse! Elyse's family was like my second family growing up, and then in 12th grade they all moved to North Carolina. It was so great to catch up with her and her mom. I have missed her so so much! I was not ready for the time to end :[

Right after lunch was over, we had to head back out to San Marcos for the wedding. Jace missed his morning nap so I was thankful that he slept the whole way down there. The weather was so nice, it was supposed to be in the low 60's during the day, but luckily it was perfect out! The wedding was beautiful, and the bride looked gorgeous. We had a really nice time hanging out with Sean's family that we never get to see.

Gymboree

Last month Sean and I decided to enroll Jace in Gymboree play classes. Gymboree has always been something my family did with their babies. In fact my little cousin Kaitlyn was at the same Gymboree center with the same teacher (Mrs. Liz) 13 years ago, CRAZY huh? Gymboree is something Sean and I really enjoy with Jace... and Jace really seems to enjoy it as well. His favorite activity is the parachute, but he also really loves his Jimbo puppet. Its such a fun time where we can enjoy being together as a family.  Today was a special day, because cousin Trenton joined Jace and Ashtyn as a special visitor. Trenton was the youngest in the class, but he still had a great time! Hopefully when they move back to California he will start going regularly with Jace and Ashtyn.
