Oh boy.... so my last post was in August, we are now in April. I'd say Im a little behind in blogging, and not to mention these last 8 months (really 8 months, yikes) have been so busy! Ill start with Sean graduated bootcamp on September 30th, 2011. My mom, dad, myself and Jace all flew out to Chicago to see his graduation. We had a great week in the windy city and seeing Sean for 9 long weeks. Sean then had to stay in THU (temporary holding unit) for almost 4 weeks while he had surgery on his ears to have tubes placed in them. He then went to San Antonio, Texas for A school. He was there for 13 weeks. He graduated 4th in his class out of 90 other guys, way to go Sean! We celebrated Jace's first Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! He also turned ONE on Feb. 5th. We had his first birthday party on the 4th of February. The theme was Jace is ONE can you dig it. So boy, and it fit him so well! Sadly Sean was not able to come home to celebrate but he was there in spirit. In March we found out we were going to be stationed in Great Lakes, Il. Great Lakes is home to the Navy bootcamp and about 40 miles north of Chicago, in fact we are considered North Chicago! hehe. I was really excited to find out where we were going, however I was not quite excited about our destination. Being the brave person I am, decided to drive the 2000 miles to Great Lakes with a 14 month old, our dog Molly and Sean and myself. To our surprise Jace did amazing! He is a great traveler, (I think he heard me talking about going to Disneyworld in November and was trying to prove to us he could go) haha. After 5 long days of traveling and hotel stays we finally made it to IL!! And the best part about it was my mom was waiting there for us. She had come out for 3 weeks to help us settle in! Well we arrived, and apparently IL was not ready for us, because we were greeted with the news that our furniture would be delivered 3 days later, which meant 3 extra nights of hotels. Jace, myself and my mom all got food poisoning on our second night, let me tell you that was a horrible experience. Three people, throwing up, in one tiny hotel room! Yikes!! But I can say three weeks later, we are in our house, mostly settled in and so far loving it here. Of course it would be much better if my family was here, but that just means plenty of visitors. I promise to try and keep up with the blog, mainly so my family and friends at home can see Jace and our daily adventures!
