Sunday Funday!

This morning Jace man was up at 6am so he went down for an early nap around 8am. I had to wake him up to go to church, which never makes for a happy baby. Luckily one of the workers at the nursery offered to snuggle him. After church we went to lunch at red robin, yum! Jace was so amazing. I think it was because he got a balloon when we walked in and he got to have it with him in his high hair. Although we did have our first water cup accident. Jace was playing with the bill folder an knocked his cup all over the floor. He looked so concerned. After lunch we went to the independence grove forest preserve. We went to the playground but it was extremely hot, they have black rubber mulch and the heat made it unbearable to stand on. So we decided to get snow cones and walk around the lake. Jace loved his snow cone. He somehow managed to hold mine and eat it and have Sean feed him his. After we came home and Jace took a 3 hour nap, and I'm guilty of a 2 hour nap as well. I love Sundays with my family.

Great day!!

Today was such an amazing day! For starters Sean got up with Jace this morning at 6:30am and let me sleep till 8! Then greeted me with an amazing cup of coffee. He then proceeded upstairs and cleaned, the bathroom, our bedroom, the guest bedroom and even the downstairs! At 1:30 I had a hair appointment, I loved the hair dresser, the salon and most importantly my hair! I decided to go darker blonde since my blonde blonde was just too high maintenance. When I got in the car Sean had our first dance song playing and told me to close my eyes. When I opened them he had bought the second band to my wedding ring for our anniversary (which is Monday) I was so surprised. I always ask do it, but never really thought I would actually get it! Then on the way home we checked the mail and my target beauty bag came! Yay for good days all around! Sean also got his new wedding band for our anniversary (he desperately needed one) I'm quite a lucky girl!

Carousel ride

We went to the mall tonight to return something at Kohls, while we were there we decided to get some dinner fast since we had more running around to do. Well right by the food court is a little carousel. As soon as Jace saw it he was in awe. I told him that if he ate his dinner he could go for a ride. Well Jace surprisingly did so well at dinner. He ate all his food and sat in the high chair for the majority of the time. So after dinner Jace ran (literally) to the carousel. He loved it. He was giggling and smiling the whole ride. Afterwards we walked to the Disney store where I picked up a few things for our disneyworld trip (a toy story towel, mickey swim trunks, mickey pjs and toy story pjs, and a mickey and friends tshirt)! It was their yearly sale might i add! All in all a great trip for every one.

Reading is fun!

Today Jace and I walked to the library. Normally when we go Jace just runs around like a mad man (quietly of course). There is a great preschool room that has puzzles, hands on activities, books, bean bag chairs, the whole nine yards for a preschooler. Well Jace loves to run back and forth causing chaos but today he actually was interested in the books. He picked out three of them all on his own and so I asked him if he wanted to check them out and borrow them at home for a few weeks. He kept saying yes yes yes. So we went home with two yo gabba gabba books and a sesame street opposites book! Jace was so proud! I love that he is finally getting into books and will sit with you while reading!

Mr. Tude

Jace has the biggest personality and along with that personality, the biggest attitude. It's cute of course (at this age anyway)! Well this morning I caught that little tude' in action!

Hold on tight!

A few months ago Jace had a playdate with a little boy that had the coolest toy, a roller coaster. Jace got the biggest kick out of it and I knew instantly I would have to get one for him. Well I finally was able to get him one and I am so glad I did. He can't get enough. The package arrived this morning about 20 minute before nap time. My genius self thought it would be smart to set it up and let Jace try it out a few times before bed. Well that lead to a 1.5 hour delay in napping. Ha! At least Jace is enjoying himself. The toy is seriously the length of our front walkway to the living room, so after tonight we will be putting it in the garage. How I wish we could have a play room for Jace, one day!

Jaces new ride

So while I absolutely LOVE our britax bready stroller I needed something a little bit smaller for errands and traveling. So after an extensive search we decided on the 2012 Baby Jogger City mini and I am so glad. I absolutely love it. It pushes so easily, folding it is a piece of cake and so compact, amazingly large sunshade, nearly flat recline, and it's cute! Haha! I really am happy with this purchase, I see it getting lots of use. Plus it will be a great stroller for our vacation in November, DISNEYWORLD!

Fathers day!

Yesterday was fathers day!! And unfortunately nothing went as planned! We started the day by letting daddy sleep an extra hour! We couldn't go to church since Jace is still getting over a nasty cold/virus so we got ready to go out. We gave Sean a tattoo as his gift (well I wrapped a piece of paper with his and Jaces picture that said time to get some inker, love your little stinker) we had planned on going to lunch, stopping at a Ford dealership to check out the Edge and then going to the tattoo shop. Well we went to Five Guys for lunch (Seans choice) and then drove to the Gurnee Ford only to find out they are closed, along with every other car dealership in Chicago. Apparently they all close on Sundays, crazy?! So we drove to Antioch to the tattoo shop. We thought it was supposed to be pretty close, but after lots of country road and 30 minutes later we were there only to find out they couldn't take Sean till Thursday! Bummer! Trying to decide what to do, Jace knocked out in his carseat. I found a kangaroo climber on CL only 20 miles away and we thought we would go pick it up. Only this place happened to be 40 minutes away in the complete opposite direction. The couple was another military family getting ready to move, they were really nice to talk to and it was amazing how much we had in common. So after driving all over kingdom come we came home and let Jace play on his new toy, that he loves. So the day wasn't what I imagined but at least we got to spend it together. And saddest ending, I didn't even get a picture of Jace and Sean. Ahh mommy fail, but it shows exactly how our day went! Happy fathers day Sean we love you and appreciate you so much! And happy fathers day to my dad, grandpa, uncle and brother in law! You guys all prove that there are good guys in the world and we are so lucky and blessed to have you in our lives. Love you all!

Finger painting fun

This morning I thought it would be fun for us to try out the new we can too veggie paint kit Jace got in his Citrus Lane box. When I was mixing the paint I was like worried because the instructions say it should be thick and ours was very thin and I kept thinking it wouldn't show up on paper, but it ended up being just fine. Jace wasnt too sure about it, he wanted to put everything but his fingers in the paint. But for the 5 minutes it lasted he enjoyed it. Then he spotted his new kangaroo climber we picked up yesterday (scored it for $30 off our local CL) and that was the end of finger painting. But I got a good 7 sheets to send to family in CA, who doesn't love a painting done by a 16 month old?!

Molly dog

Poor Molly's hair had got so long, she seemed so hot. While I think she looks so cute fluffy it's also a pain to deal with her hair. She's the type of dog that likes to be dirty and with her long hair it's like having a second child. So Sean and I decided to take her to Petsmart yesterday to get a summer hair cut. She looks so cute with short hair and I think she is liking it much better, she doesn't seen nearly as hot as before.

Sicky.

Go figure the night my mom leaves jace and I are up all night sick as dogs. I was up throwing up and with horrible stomach/side pain and Jace had a sky high fever. Poor Sean was up all night helping out and then had to go to work at 6:45am. I literally did not think I would survive the day feeling as awful as I did and having to take care of Jace. I put him in the bath when we first got up because he had leaked through his diaper in the night. Well I was so weak I had a horrible time even lifting him out of the bath. Luckily Jace was very calm all afternoon and just laid and napped and read books all day.

Goodbyes never get easier

After being home for 10 days and then my mom being out here for 7 days I was getting pretty used to always having someone around or something to do. So I was pretty sad when the 13th came so quickly and it was time for her to go. Even though the last few months have been full of goodbyes they never seem to get any easier.

Quarter of a century

I can't believe I turned 25!!! Sean had to work in the morning so my mom, Jace and myself started the day out by having breakfast at my favorite place wildberry in libertyville. Then we went to do some shopping! After going to the mall and old navy we came home to meet Sean and got ready to go to dinner at rainforest cafe. I was so blessed to be able to share my birthday with not only my little family but my mom as well!
