While my mom was here we were seriously out exploring every day! I love getting to know my new town and Jace definitely loves being out doing things. Our first discovery was the hunts club aquatics center. It's a local pool that is so amazing. It's actually right next to the splash ground. This pool has a huge baby area with a baby slide, a toddler area, 4 water slides for bigger kids/kids at heart, a sand play area, volleyball, a cafe and grill. Everything! We all loved it there and I am actually considering getting a season pass.
Our next discovery was independence grove. It's a forest preserve, and has canoeing trails, a beach, an amazing playground, hiking trails, dog agility course, so much. It was absolutely beautiful! I can't believe how different Illinois is from California. As much as I miss home and family I can't complain, I love how different paced the Midwest is. So much more family oriented.
